生理特點(diǎn)：兔子外形可愛，在野外環(huán)境里，兔子屬于被獵食的動物。所以它們繁殖的速度很快、警覺性高，易受驚嚇。養(yǎng)兔技術(shù)員必須特別注意，因?yàn)樵胍簟峒摇⑾丛琛Q食等都可引起兔子的驚嚇，導(dǎo)致兔子拒食、有攻擊行為，甚休克致死。兔子是草食性動物，它們習(xí)慣在清晨及傍晚，光線較弱的時段覓食。它們胸腔比較小，肺活量小，所以在天氣熱及遇緊張時經(jīng)常看見它們鼻子抽動的厲害。

飼喂管理：養(yǎng)兔技術(shù)員要根據(jù)四季變化做好兔子飼料搭配工作，根據(jù)家兔的品種、性別、生理階段合理搭配精料、青料、粗料的比例。每天喂料要做到早餐早喂，晚餐遲喂，午餐少喂，晚上加喂夜草，同時供給充足的飲水。在管理上要合理分群，并提供適宜的溫度、濕度環(huán)境，保持籠舍干燥、清潔、通風(fēng)。
